My day job is working as a Systems Administrator for an international non-profit. During my career I've provided support for mixed Linux/Unix/Microsoft environments, using technology from such companies as Oracle, Vmware and Citrix.
By night, family time permitting, I'm a hobbyist developer. I've worked with C, C++, Perl, PHP, Python, and Java. I've also recently been diving into Ruby and Erlang.
I'm the maintainer and primary contributor for the Gaeutilities project, which provides a collection of utilities to assist in creating application with Python on Google Appengine. I don't use Appengine any more, but I do my best to at least provide bug fixes.
Recently I've been working on my project Unscatter which is a search portal and will soon offer social aggregation, news and other services.
